FOR THE VETERAN

The Law Office of Sonya L. Pence is dedicated to offering our clients legal representation that lives up to these core values. While managing a disability or seeking your earned benefits, navigating the complex administrative and ever-changing federal health care laws can be frustrating. Serving clients in the Florida Panhandle, and Southeastern Alabama, we are your local disability law office and will help you pursue your claims and secure the benefits you deserve, so that you can focus on managing your health and living your life with dignity. As the oldest of five siblings, growing up in a career military family, Attorney Pence understands first hand the many sacrifices that our military families make every day to the freedoms we all enjoy. When our Veterans’ health and well-being are also sacrificed, those promises made by the government must be honored in the same way that our dedicated Veterans honored their promises to faithfully serve our Country.

COMPETENCE

For over 20 years, The Law Office of Sonya L. Pence has assisted clients to zealously fight for their legal rights against the powerful resources of the Government. As a highly experienced courtroom litigator, Attorney Pence has represented over one thousand clients in the courtroom. She understands how to best present a case to a court, and she will not hesitate to take your valid claim forward. This is a crucial consideration when selecting your attorney, as many veterans’ claims are fully satisfied only at the U.S Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC), Washington, D.C. She is well prepared to skillfully handle your disability case through all steps necessary to achieving a favorable outcome. As many disabled veterans also qualify for social security benefits, and the social security disability findings may bolster a claim with the Veterans Administration, Attorney Pence also represents veterans before the Social Security Board.

COMMUNICATION

A top priority of Attorney Pence’s approach to providing high quality representation to every client is clear communication. All clients’ questions and concerns are treated with the respect they deserve. Her goal is to keep the claims process as stress-free as possible by keeping you apprised of the status of your case. She understands the importance of you being able to move forward with your everyday life until your claim is resolved. Though our office will do the heavy lifting when it comes to pursuing your claims, we do everything we can to ensure that you are up to date and informed regarding the progress of your case. We understand that no one understands your story better than you.

COMMITMENT

Sonya L. Pence is deeply committed to using her breadth of experience and skill to assisting veterans and their loved ones with their legal and health needs. Early in her professional life, she enjoyed a highly respected career in health care. She worked for eleven years as a certified critical care registered nurse (CCRN) at West Florida Hospital, Pensacola, FL. In 1984, she was selected to serve as the Hospital’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation Coordinator, while continuing to serve on several key hospital committees.

If you believe that you have a disability claim, or if your previous claim was denied by the Veterans Administration, The Law Office of Sonya L. Pence stands ready and prepared to assist you and your family to receive the disability benefits you rightly deserve.
